Stargazer is a Eco-Friendly Solar Powered Sailing Yacht? Welcome aboard our home on the water. Captain Cactus and Mate Betsy look forward to showing our guests the best of The Sea of Cortez on our 75 ft custom ketch.
She has state of the art solar panels and storage batteries. We make every effort to sail as much as possible and use the diesel generator as little as possible. There are 18 opening hatches, 16 opening port lights and fans in each cabin that provide great ventilation.

This charter includes the services of Cactus and Betsy as your expert guides and we provision the Galley and Bar to your needs.
Prior to your vacation, Captain Cactus will suggest an itinerary tailored to your preferences. You may have the opportunity to take the wheel if you wish, or simply sit back, relax and enjoy all of the pleasures that the islands have to offer.

The Sea of Cortez - The Aquarium of the World
Imagine an impossibly beautiful place where the Sonoran Desert meets a clear blue ocean that is teeming with life – colonies of playful and mischievous sea lions, flying mobulas (manta rays that leap out of the water) and endemic species of reef fishes (that only occur in that part of the world), large colonies of seabirds nesting and soaring overhead, humpback whales breaching, and blue whales and large schools of dolphins cruising past.
That is the Gulf of California, also known as the Sea of Cortez, and it is one of the most rich and spectacular marine environments on earth — so much so that it inspired Jacques Cousteau to call it the “Aquarium of the World.”

Meals are served family style. We have a preference sheet for you to fill out and return to us. It is very important that you make us aware of every persons dietary needs. A menu will be created specifically for your group, taking into account any food allergies, needs and/or likes and dislikes. Remember, we are in the Islands and certain requested items may not be available to us.

This is a sample of the Captain Cactus and Betsy's culinary talents. All menus are customized tailored to meet our clients’ health and dietary needs.

Breakfast: (includes fresh fruit)
Fresh Omelet with basil, sundried tomatoes and ricotta cheese
Salmon and Bagels served with cream cheese, red onion, tomato and capers
Orange zest French toast with sausage
Scrambled Eggs, hash browns, and bacon
Yogurt, granola, and fresh berries
Served with fresh coffee/tea and juices

Lunch: Grilled Panini with smoked turkey, brie and apple served with a horseradish-Dijon mustard sauce accompanied by red
Black Bean Burgers topped homemade guacamole and bacon with a black bean, corn and avocado salad.

Hors d'oervures:
Cheese Platter with assorted cheeses, crackers and fresh fruit
Home-Made Hummus Dip served with assorted Julienned vegetables
Assorted cheese, olive, fruit and cracker platter served with your favorite island cocktail, wine or beverage.

Dinner: Grilled Mahi Mahi over seasoned rice topped with homemade mango salsa and a side of sweet and sour cabbage
Pork Tenderloin atop in an apple, onion, sweet potato sauté with a pureed spiced butternut squash
Grilled New York Strip Steaks with roasted potatoes and bacon wrapped Asparagus
Grilled Salmon in a buttery dill sauce with wasabi mashed potatoes and ginger-glazed carrots
Ahi Tuna and Vegetbles grilled to perfection atop lightly sauteed greens
All dinners served with complementing salad and wine from our wine cellar.

Dessert
Balsamic glazed fresh fruit of the season with whipped cream
Double Chocolate Brownies topped with fresh berries/whipped cream
Served with after dinner cocktails, cordials, or coffee/tea.

Our standard rate is for 6 days and 5 nights, double occupancy.

All persons to be part of your bubble having been very careful with exposure to others outside your bubble!!!!

All payments are non-refundable however can be moved to a future charter date and are transferable to others.

Staterooms: She is comfortable and airy with many surprises, including, but not limited to three spacious guest cabins with sleeping for up to six guests. Two double bed cabins and one master king cabin all feature private en suite bathrooms and separate shower stall. The main salon is open and bright with a large dining area, wet bar and entertainment center for you to enjoy your favorite music or relax and watch a movie. On the outside, Stargazer boasts a large, shaded walk-in cockpit and spacious deck with Day Bed and large Bean Bags for and aft. A swing down swim platform with fresh water rinse off of the stern makes swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, paddle boarding or any of our many other water sports more convenient and enjoyable.
